Minimal Nursery Nook and Baby Essentials

Posted by on

As most of you know I am expecting baby #3 any day now! I searched high and low on pinterest for mid-century modern/minimal nursery in your master bedroom ideas. There wasn't much so I thought I would share with you guys what I came up with.
The crib is a Babyletto origami mini crib. It's a perfect size for any small space but yet big enough for the baby to sleep in well past 6 months. We haven't quite decided who this new babe is going to bunk with when its older so we are planning on keeping it in our room for a while.
The shelf is from West Elm, it is their mid-century modern shelf with prism brackets. The picture frames are also from West Elm and in them is an amazing rubber plant print from Art Work by Taylor Dawn (find her on IG @artworkbytaylordawn). The baskets are both Homesense finds and the quilt is from a local shop the Blanket Thief
Along with the Blanket Thief I have been so privileged to get to know some other mom bosses who run the most amazing Canadian small shops that I've collected things from for baby #3. Here are some of my favourites as well as the things from our summer collection that I made for babe. (Click on the shop name for a direct link to their shops)
1. {Mushybooks} Lesley Hobbs makes the most beautiful and practical baby books. This baby book is made with nothing but pure love and thoughtfulness behind it that it is definitely a something worth spending your money on. I purchased the You, me & the sea themed book and I'm so excited to have such a beautiful keep sake for him.
2. {Minimoc} This west coast shop run by Amanda, who's expecting her own little babe around now, has the cutest baby mocs and shoes. Pictured above are the Beluga mocs in a size 1. Can't wait to get them on baby boys little toes!
3. {Otherware} My absolute favourite shop that i've done tons of different work with. Rae Brown (the owner) never ceases to amaze me with her creativity. Her teethers are functional and beautiful. Below is the items I grabbed for baby boy. The burly teether is a great sensory toy, the freeze teether is perfect for sore gums, and a soother clip.
4. {Numpfer} Sarah makes minimal and beautiful organic baby blankets and accessories. I got a multi use bib and blanket in white for baby boy and it truly is the softest thing I've ever felt. I will definitely be swaddling baby boy in the blanket daily!
Above are the items I selected for new baby boy. Our bamboo shorties rompers are easy, comfy and trendy so perfect for a new babe. Then a simple organic cotton onesie paired with a black bloomers (staple, will be putting them on with lots of onesies) and two bamboo knott hats.
This is just a small list of the shops I love and have/will be supporting. I will be blogging more great shops and why its so important to shop small! Now fingers crossed this baby comes tonight.
xx Kelsey
